FREE Fortunetelling Presentation At Ridley Twp. Library

The Past and Future of Fortunetelling at Ridley Township Library
Every day, people read their horoscopes, open fortune cookies, or have their palms read. Some people dismiss these practices as foolish; others have great faith in them. On Wednesday, April 20 at 6:30 pm,  Ann Guinan will discuss the past and future of fortunetelling.
Guinan is a specialist in Ancient Near Eastern cultures and languages, and a Research Associate in the Babylonian Section of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. She conducts research in the British Museum, and lectures both here and abroad on a variety of anthropological subjects.
The library program is part of the University’s Outreach Lecture Program, which  is funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
The free program will be held in Garling Hall. To register, call 610-583-0593, or email reference@ridleylibrary.org. Walk-ins are also welcome. Ridley Township Library is at 100 E. MacDade Blvd., Folsom.
