PA Authors To Visit Delco Library

Across the state, the summer reading theme at public libraries is “One World, Many Stories.”  As the finale for the summer, Sellers Library will host a panel of three Pennsylvania authors for a discussion on multicultural teen literature on Wednesday, August 17, at 7:00 p.m.

Authors Josh Berk, Marie Lamba, and Allison Whittenberg will be appearing on the panel.  The discussion will be followed by a question-and-answer session, book sales, and book signing by all three authors.

Josh Berk is from Bethlehem, PA, and is the author of The Dark Days of Hamburger Halpin.  Marie Lamba lives in Doylestown, PA, and has written What I Meant… and Over My Head.  Allison Whittenberg resides in Philadelphia, PA, and has authored four books for young adults.  Her most recent work is Tutored.  She is also the author of Sweet Thang, Hollywood and Maine, and Life Is Fine.

Book sales will be provided at the event by Children’s Book World, an independent bookstore located in Haverford, PA.  Cash and credit will be accepted.

The author talk will be held in the main library building.  No registration is required.  All ages are welcome.  This event is made possible by a grant from the Walmart Foundation.

For more information about the event, please contact Young Adult Librarian Gretchen Ipock at 610-789-4440 or yaservices@udlibraries.org.  Sellers Library is located at
76 South State Road
in Upper Darby, PA.
