November 12 Event and Send Holiday Cards to Troops

Berlin, NJ (November, 2011)—With a goal of local communities banding together to make more than 25,000 hand-made cards on November 12th, residents up and down the East Coast are invited to show their support for U.S. Troops by visiting any A.C. Moore store on Saturday, November 12th from 1PM to 3PM—it’s free and starts with a little creativity.
All 134 A.C. Moore stores (www.acmoore.com) will host a free card making event in conjunction with EKSuccess Brands and Operation Christmas Cards. A.C. Moore stores, along with support from numerous vendors, will provide all materials necessary, including inspiration, to show support and appreciation of our military personnel serving overseas in Afghanistan, Japan, Iraq, Egypt and Germany.
“A.C. Moore continues to support local communities with our “Crafting a Better World” program, free events and free field trips.  This free card-making event takes our grassroots efforts to the next level and we are thrilled to support our troops and the important work they are doing overseas,” says David Abelman, A.C. Moore’s Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer.“Here at EKSuccess Brands, we want to honor the dedication and sacrifice that these armed service members make for our country,” says Kevin Fick, President of EKSuccess Brands. “Because of our position in the crafting and card-making industry, Operation Christmas Cards was a natural fit to do so.” The Operation Christmas Cards organization sends cards to bases in Afghanistan, Japan, Iraq, Egypt and Germany.
