LWV Presents Free Film, ‘Gaslands’
The League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County will host a FREE showing of the film, “Gaslands,” 6:30p.m., tonight (Jan. 19) at Brookhaven Municipal Building, 2 Cambridge Road,
The film is about the effects of the natural gas drilling boom that is sweeping across the U.S., especially parts of Pennsylvania.
Variety called it “. . . one of the most effective and expressive films in recent years.”
Filmmaker Josh Fox seeks to answer the question: “Is the hydraulic fracturing drilling technology safe?”
Clean Water Action and the League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County are sponsoring this event. There is no charge. RSVP at 215-545-0250 or cmeehan@cleanwater.org.
