WHAT: Birding at Black Rock

Join us at Black Rock Sanctuary for a morning bird walk to explore the meadows and wetlands of the unique site along the Atlantic Flyway. Learn about fine-feathered friends that inhabit our natural areas and those who just stop-by for an early spring visit. Learn some of the techniques used to identify birds such as birding by color, shape, song, and habitat. Enjoy bird watching and outdoor exploration led by an experienced birder. Open to beginners. WHERE: Please meet in the Black Rock Sanctuary parking lot. Black Rock Sanctuary is located at 953 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville. Black Rock Sanctuary is located on Route 113 between Riverwalk Drive and Winding River Boulevard at 953 Black Rock Road, which is about 1 ½ miles north of downtown Phoenixville. Please note that many GPS units may direct people to the wrong location. Detailed directions are available at: http://www.chesco.org/ccparks/blackrock.
HOW: Please register by downloading the Registration Form from www.chesco.org/ccparks or by calling the park at 610-469-1916. Registration is required for this and all Chester County Parks Nature of Things programs.
