FREE Patriotic Concert And Ice Cream

PATRIOTIC CONCERT ON JUNE 29 IN MEDIA

Delaware County residents will have two opportunities to attend a rollicking Patriotic Concert and Ice Cream Social on June 28 at Reformation Lutheran Church.  Both the 2:00 p.m. matinee and the 7:00 p.m. evening performances will feature the star clarinetist of the Philly Pops, Joe Smith and The Classics of Dixieland Band with John Hoey, Edd Paffett & Matt Bochanski.  Joining them will be vocal soloist Carole Latimer and at the evening performance, the Media Patriotic Festival Choir. 

There is NO CHARGE for the concert or the ice cream, but a free-will offering, with a matching gift from the Delaware County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, will be received and will be donated to the Veteran’s Legacy which sponsors the Memorial Day and Veterans’ Day parades in Media and the Pennsylvania Veterans’ Museum, located in Media.  Participants are also encouraged to bring a new or gently used article of clothing for the Coatesville Veterans Hospital. 

Following the concert there will be an old-fashioned Ice Cream Social, sponsored by Reformation Church and made possible by donations from Gary Miller Plumbing and Giant Food stores.
