More FREE local events to celebrate Christmas...

Collingdale -First Baptist Church will be presenting “Bethlehem Village: A Journey to Christmas” on the second and third weekends of December. As visitors arrive they will first gather in the Church Auditorium and be assigned to a tribe. Tribal guides will then escort groups on a journey where they will witness a series if skits. These mini-dramas will help illustrate the story of the first Christmas to people of all ages. Groups will be guided to sites outside on the church campus and then the tour will conclude back inside the church in Bethlehem Village. There they will experience craftsmen, music, Biblical characters as well as enjoy some refreshments.
There is no admission fee or offering taken as the church considers 'Bethlehem Village' as a gift to the community. Tours are scheduled for December 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th between 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM. First Baptist Church is located at Clifton & Andrews Avenues in 'The Little Town of Collingdale'. For more information call the church office at: 610-586-3563.

The chorus consists of members from all over the Delaware County as well as the West Chester and Philadelphia areas.  This holiday concert tour celebrated the group’s 39th year in existence.   They originated as a night school class in the William Penn School District and eventually continued outside of the district; however, the group has maintained their home base in Yeadon for all of their 39 years.
New members are always welcome – especially Altos, Tenors and Basses.   Musical ability is not necessary – just a willingness to attend 12 weeks of rehearsals, a couple of concerts, meet new people and most especially, have a lot of fun!  (Members should be at least 16 years of age).  Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 7:00  – 9:00 pm for 12 weeks in the Spring and again for 12 weeks in the Fall in the sanctuary of the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, Church Lane & Cedar Avenue in Yeadon.   Evening concerts are held at various venues throughout the Delaware County and outlying areas.  Anyone wishing more information on becoming a member of the chorus or having the chorus perform FOR FREE at your facility should contact Chorus Director Sue De Monde (610-304-8310) or via email WPCC30@aol.com.
