DCCC Offers Free Diversity Awareness Workshop To Business Community
The Office of Business Development at Delaware County Community College will introduce its corporate training services to the business community. The first of these free workshops, Diversity Awareness, will be offered 8-10:30 a.m. Thurs. (February 17) at the Marple Campus (STEM Center Conference Room), 901 Media Line Road, Media.
"In today's workplace, employees and customers can be from anywhere in the world, spanning multiple generations," says Karen Kozachyn, Associate Dean of Corporate and Community Programs. "People from different age groups and cultures carry different beliefs that affect how they interpret the world, and understanding this diversity is the first step to dealing more effectively with employees and customers alike."
Promoting respect and understanding for diversified groups is the focus of the seminar. The seminar will highlight techniques to identify and understand the skills needed to manage effectively in today's multi-cultural environment. Participants will review methods and best practices that can improve communication with customers and employees of different age groups and cultures.
Pre-registration is required and seating is limited. To register for this free seminar, visit www.dccc.edu/free-business-training or call 484-237-6243.
