FREE Census Workshop Available
Area residents are invited to the FREE 2010 U.S. Census Workshop that will take place 11a.m., Friday (March 4) at Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems, 126 East Baltimore Ave., Media.
Participants will learn how to navigate the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2010 Census and American Community Survey data. The workshop will include an overview of the Census website, the new American FactFinder and data from additional census surveys.
Information on upcoming census data releases throughout 2011 will also be shared with the attendees who will earn how to navigate the 2010 Census data for grant writing, needs assessments, demographic reports, and more.
Local and state legislatures, county planning and economic development agencies, municipalities, social service agencies, health care industries, school professionals, and businesses are welcome.
The U.S. Census Bureau’s continues to serve as the leading source of quality data about the nation’s people and economy. Fresh off of a successful 2010 Census campaign that generated a 74% participation rate nationwide, the bureau is currently conducting workshops and trainings around the country to educate stakeholders and the public on census data.
