                                      Historic Newtown Square Day
                                      A Celebration of Community

                                            June 4, 2011 10AM - 4 PM
On June 4th we will Honor our rich history and celebrate our  community together, that’s what Historic Newtown Square Day is all about.  Come see what’s old and new on June 4th, from 10am – 4pm at The Square Tavern.

This year’s event includes some great new features.  The ever-expanding outdoor market is bigger and better than ever, showcasing over 30 vendors and organizations from throughout the community.  Check out local vendors and artisans, grab a bite to eat, bring the family to enjoy children’s activities, or enjoy the day’s entertainment including live Bluegrass music.

New this year is our  “Newtown Square Antique Road Show” From 1pm – 3pm at The Square Tavern where you can bring attic treasures, family heirlooms, and curious
brick-a-brac to be expertly evaluated by Wilson Antiques.  Do you have an interesting piece or a valuable collectible?  Come check it out.

The day wouldn’t be complete without a peek into the Newtown Square of old.  Guided tours will be available at both The Square Tavern and the Paper Mill House, where volunteers will demonstrate different facets of colonial living.  The Historical Society gift shop will be open too, and if you keep an eye out, you just might spot Benjamin West himself making an appearance.

Bring the family for what’s sure to be a fun-filled day, sponsored by the Newtown Square Historical Society.  For more information, visit www.historicnewtownsquare.org or find us on Facebook.
