Free Sustainable Gardening Programs In Area
Area residents are invited to attend a free "Healthy Yards, Healthy Streams" Sustainable Gardening program on Wednesday, May 25 at the Concord Municipal Building, 43 Thornton Road, Glen Mills, or on Thursday, May 26 at Ridley Park Borough Hall, 105 East Ward Street, Ridley Park.
Learn season strategies from speakers Bryn Richard, Registered Landscape Architect, and Jennifer Nichols, GreenWeaver Landscapes, on how to manage and attractively landscape your property in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Programs are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public. To pre-register, contact CRC Watersheds Association at crc@nni.com or 610-892-8731. Walk-ins are also welcome.
The program will be repeated on June 1 at Middletown Township's municipal hall, 27 Pennell Road, Media, and on June 2 at Glenolden Borough Hall, 36 Boone Avenue, Glenolden. For more information, see http://www.crcwatersheds.org/.
