FREE Yard Seminars, FREE Voice Lessons

Healthy Yards/Healthy Streams Seminars Offered To Local Residents
  Local residents are invited to attend a "Healthy Yards/Healthy Streams" sustainable gardening  seminar in their area this spring. Learn an array of seasonal strategies for managing and landscaping properties in an attractive and environmentally sustainable manner. All sessions are presented by Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association with Registered Landscape Architect Bryn Richard, unless otherwise noted. These seminars are 7 to 8:30 p.m. They are free and open to the public. Sessions include:
   May 19, Marple Library, 227 S. Sproul Road, Broomall; Speaker: Liz Ball, Springfield Press Garden Columnist.
   May 25, Concord Municipal Building, 43 Thornton Road, Glen Mills; Speaker: Jennifer Nichols, GreenWeaver Landscapes.
  May 26, Ridley Park Borough Hall, 105 E. Ward Street, Ridley Park.
  June 1, Middletown Township Hall, 27 Pennell Rd, Middletown.
   June 2. Glenolden Borough Hall, 36 Boone Ave, Glenolden.

Do You Love To Sing?
  The Delaware Valley Show Chorus will offer FREE voice lessons for women. 7:30 to 8:15p.m., Wednesdays at  Swarthmore Methodist Church, 129 Park Ave., Swarthmore. The lessons will be taught by Gene Bender and are always open to area women
