Valerio To Visit Museum- FREE Event

Valerio Presents Special Football Jersey To Sports History Museum
Delaware County football great and six-year NFL player Joe Valerio will visit the Mickey Vernon Sports History Museum noon to 1p.m., Thursday (Aug. 11).
Valerio will bring the jersey he wore during his 1994 NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs to place alongside the many other sports rarities that are already on display at the museum.
The '94 season was the 35th anniversary of the Chiefs moving to Kansas City.  It was also the 75th anniversary of the NFL.
Valerio was wearing the jersey when he caught a touchdown pass from Joe Montana in a Monday night game against the Denver Broncos.  Fans have voted that game the second greatest Monday night football game of all time. Along with the jersey, Valerio will also bring a video of that Montana-to-Valerio touchdown pass.
Visitors may bring cameras and have their photos taken with Valerio and the special number 73 jersey, and at the same time, learn the inside story from him about what makes that number significant.
The museum is in Chadds Ford at the intersection of 1 Beaver Valley Road and Route 202 (Concord Pike).  For more information, call or e-mail Jim Vankoski at 610-909-4919 or vankoski21@comcast.net.
