Delaware County TMA To Host Access To Jobs Expo
  Area residents looking for employment or to make a job change, are welcome to attend the 2011 Access to Jobs EXPO 9 to 1, Thursday (Oct. 13) at Springfield Country Club, West Sproul Road, Springfield.
  The event offers a great local venue for job seekers to meet with representatives from businesses and educational facilities in the Delaware County and the surrounding Greater Philadelphia area. The Delaware County Transportation Management Association's 17th annual Access to Jobs EXPO is also presented by Delaware County Council, Pennsylvania CareerLink, the Delaware County Commerce Center and the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. This year's sponsors include Delaware County Community College, Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Goodwill Industries of Delaware and Delaware County, Inc. and Harrah's Chester Casino & Racetrack.
  Job-seekers will have the opportunity to speak face to face with recruiters and human resource representatives from various industries, including financial services, senior care facilities, insurance, health care companies, staffing agencies, transportation agencies, and many more.
  "Last year's Jobs EXPO attracted over 500 job seekers," says Cecile Charlton, Executive Director of the Delaware County TMA. “With more employers scheduled to participate, we’re expecting another great turnout this year.”
  The DCTMA will provide free round-trip transportation to the Access to Jobs EXPO for residents of the Chester area. Shuttles will run from Chester Community Hospital and the Chester Transportation Center to the Springfield Country Club. The shuttle schedule is available on-line at http://www.dctma.org/. To reserve a seat on the shuttle, contact the DCTMA at 610-892-9440. Applicants may also take SEPTA's Route 110 bus to the Springfield Country Club from Upper Darby's 69th Street area.

Learn how to frame those special paintings like the professionals.
On Thursday, November 3 and November 10, 2011, 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, Senior Community Services’ Center for Life Long Learning will offer Framing at Friendship Circle Senior Center with an instructor, Jim Ryan. Framing is expensive.  This class will teach and provide you with the knowledge to frame your own art work in the first class.  Second class will include you providing your own materials to making your individual frames.
