  A free program, “How To Best Protect Your Home From Healthcare Costs and Taxes,” sponsored by Senior Community Services, will be offered 1p.m., Thursday (Oct. 27) at the Brookhaven Municipal Building, 2 Cambridge Road.
  Presenters Robert and Dana Breslin, Esq. will discuss how to prevent a nursing home or state from taking a home if the owner is inn need nursing care.
  Is it a good idea to transfer a home to children? What are the different tax implications with transfers or after death? Learn about the existing programs which can help.

‘De-cluttering And Downsizing’ Program At Glenolden Library 

 The Glenolden Library and Liberty Lutheran Services will hold a program on “De-cluttering and Downsizing Your Home” 2:30pm. Wed. (Oct. 26) at the library, 211 S. Llanwellyn Ave., Glenolden.
   Everyone is welcome to come and learn de-cluttering do and don’ts from a downsizing specialist. Marlene Stocks, will provide pointers for clearing the clutter and re-organizing living space.

PA Veterans Museum Offers Free Admission
   The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum, which opened to the public on Veterans Day 2005, is open noon to 5 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. PA Veterans Museum is in the Media Armory, 12 East State Street, Media. The entrance is behind Trader Joes.

Abruzzese Delco To Offer FREE Italian Language Courses At Neumann
   L’Associazione Regionale Abruzzese Delco will offer free Italian Language classes for the Fall session of 2011 and Spring session of 2012. Classes will be held as a community service at Neumann University on Wednesday evenings beginning in November and running weekly to end of May.

 Storytelling Explored At Creative Living Room
  The Creative Living Room will host two workshops and two performances that explore storytelling and personal myth. Michele Bell leads a three hour basic workshop, “The Art of Storytelling,” 2 to 5p.m., Saturday (Oct. 22).
  A Nov. 13 workshop, “The Art of Story Listening and Creative Personal Myth,” explores how personal myths influence stories.
  A free Storytelling Session with Patchwork Storytellers Guild will take place 2 to 5p.m., Sunday (Oct. 23). Attendees will experience group storytelling. The event is family friendly; however, it will best enjoyed by children who are age 10 or older.

Free Voice Lessons Offered
  The Delaware Valley Show Chorus offers free voice lessons for motivated women who love to sing and perform, 7:30 to 8:15p.m., Wednesdays,at Swarthmore United Methodist Church, 129 Park Ave.
  Lessons are taught by Master Director Gene Bender who has extensive experience in directing choruses and musical productions throughout the region for over 40 years.
  Bender has been Music director for the Mask and Wig Club of the University of Pennsylvania for 18 seasons and has also served as a faculty member at the Walnut Street Theatre.
