More FREE Events This December All Over Delco!!!

Live Nativity At Church Of Christ 
  Church of Christ, Fourth and Tasker Ave., Folsom, will have a Christmas Program 12:30 pm Sun. (Dec. 18). Quiver Farms will bring their live animals and the Christmas Story will be told. The children in the audience will have a chance to participate. The community is invited to this free event.
  Chuch services will be held 9:30-10:30 am, brunch will follow and then the program takes place after brunch.

  Hackett to Host Holiday Open House
  Rep. Joe Hackett (R-Delaware) has announced he will host a Holiday Open House 1-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21 at the district office in Folsom.
   "It's important that we keep the lines of communication open," Hackett said.  "What I learn from the residents of the 161st District I take back to Harrisburg.  That's why I want to invite everyone to my special open house. It will give people a chance to share their thoughts and concerns."
   The open house will take place at Hackett's district office at 554 E. MacDade Blvd. in Folsom.

Lessons and carols
The Covenant United Methodist Church Choir will present a Service of Lessons and Carols at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 11 at Covenant United Methodist Church,
Springfield Road
and
Saxer Avenue
in Springfield. “Hodie Apparuit” by Chester Alwes consists of seven movements with scripture lessons in between, written for mixed voices, organ and woodwind trio.
The 32-voice choir, under the direction of organist Sarah Batchelor, will be accompanied by Erica Simon (flute), Terence Belzer (oboe) and Lori Marino (bassoon). Music before and after the service will include jazz-influenced arrangements of traditional Christmas carols for piano, woodwinds, and alto sax (Pam Corner).

Messiah sing-a-long
The Interfaith Choir and Orchestra will perform a Messiah sing-a-long at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
721 Paxon Hollow Road
in Broomall, at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec 11.
Admission is free and there will be light refreshments served afterwards.

Glenolden Library and Liberty and Lutheran Services will be holding a program on Music and the Brain on Wednesday, December 21, at 2pm.  Discover the way music interacts with brain function to manage pain, decrease the physical stress response, improve learning and more with specialist, Jen Ollikainen.
