The Brandywine River Museum will offer free admission 9:30 to noon, Sundays through Nov. 18. Visitors can have “Breakfast on the Brandywine” in the Museum’s cafeteria-style restaurant, from 9:30 to 11:30a.m., Sunday mornings. The menu changes weekly and costs $6 per person; $3.75 for children.
Among the exhibitions on view this year is “Comic Catharsis: A Gift of Cartoons” by William Steig (Jan. 21 through March 11).

The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum, which opened to the public on Veterans Day 2005, is open noon to 5 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. PA Veterans Museum is in the Media Armory, 12 East State Street, Media. The entrance is behind Trader Joes.
Call 610-566-0788 for more information. It's also free admission for families which can be a big help to those on a shoestring budget.
