FREE Workshop For Parents Of Children With Special Needs
DCIU Presents Workshop for Parents Of Special Needs Children
Parents of special needs children can learn how to work collaboratively with their child’s school to get the best of his/her education. A free workshop to help parents to better navigate the often challenging roadmap of educating their children with disabilities is being held 7-9 p.m. Wed. (Jan. 18) at the Ridley Community Center (next to Ridley High School), 801 Morton Avenue, Folsom.
The workshop, Parents and Schools Working Together, will explore strategies for improving the connection between home and school for students who have special needs. Parents will learn how to ask the right questions in order to learn information about how their child is doing at school. Tools and strategies will be shared to help parents increase collaboration with the educational team.
