FREE Kindness Circle In Swarthmore On Saturday
Area residents can celebrate the joy of spring in a Community Kindness Circle 3:30 to 4:30p.m., Saturday (April 9) at Swarthmore Borough Hall, 121 Park Ave. (Children welcome if they can sit quietly.)
Community Kindness Circles, which complement all religions, have been held in communities, churches, schools and organizations since 2008. Free and open to all, the Circles are part of a Global Kindness Revolution begun three years ago by award-winning author, activist, filmmaker and Restorative Healer Judith Trustone, who has been leading Healing Circles around the US for 20 years.
Through a national network, the group has distributed 70,000 Kindness Cards as an antidote to violence, bullying and lack of civility. Thousands join the Virtual Kindness Circle every Saturday at 4p.m. EDT from wherever they are by tuning in and looking for ways to be kind.
