FREE Medicare Presentations Offered

Medicare 101Evening Presentation at Schoolhouse Center

            If you are nearing 65 you will be eligible for Medicare.  Here is an opportunity to learn the basics of Medicare.

On Wednesday, April 13, 2011, 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Senior Community Services will offer a presentation on Medicare 101 with APPRISE Counselor Ed Baum at Schoolhouse Center in Folsom.  This presentation will be great for those approaching age 65 to start educating them on how Medicare works, what choices they will need to make and some information on how to make those choices.  No fee.             There will be a Medicare 101 the 3^rd Wednesday of each month, 7 PM to 8 PM.

APPRISE (State Health Insurance Program-SHIP) is funded by the Pa Dept of Aging to provide counseling for Medicare beneficiaries.            

Medicare Counselor Available at Schoolhouse Center

             Now there is someone available to help you individually with your Medicare issues.

On Wednesdays, beginning April 6, 2011, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Schoolhouse will have an APPRISE Counselor available to counsel Medicare beneficiaries regarding their health care options.  APPRISE Counselor Loretta Loevi will be here weekly.  Loevi has had years of experience and has counseled hundreds of Medicare beneficiaries.  Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling the receptionist at Schoolhouse at (610) 237-8100.
