FREE Stuff To Do On Memorial Day Weekend
• Hang Free in Fairmount Park: On Monday, May 30, from 1-8 p.m., head to this free, bi-annual outdoor party in Fairmount Park, including DJ’s spinning music, plus sports like touch football and frisbee. Bring blankets, a picnic and any games.
• National Liberty Museum: The museum is honoring the brave men and women who’ve served in the U.S. Armed Forces by offering free admission during Memorial Day Weekend to all visitors who bring donations (clothing, non-perishable foods, kitchen items, hygiene items) to benefit Philadelphia’s homeless veterans. Free guided tours will take place throughout the long weekend, Saturday-Monday
• National Constitution Center: Starting Saturday, May 28 through Monday, May 30, the center will host lots of free events to celebrate the holiday, including Patriotic Karaoke; “Memorials: How a Nation Remembers,” a 20-minute interactive program showing the history behind monuments like Little Bighorn, U.S.S. Arizona and the Lincoln Memorial; and Memorial Day-themed craftmaking.
