Trash2Treasure Sale In June
  The fifth annual Trash 2 Treasure sale will take place over three days, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 10-12, at the Lamb-Miller Fieldhouse at Swarthmore College.  The sale will include everything from home appliances and furniture to clothing and school supplies, in new or good condition and at bargain prices. The sale is open and free to the public.
 The morning of the first day of the sale, Friday, June 10, shoppers can opt to pay a small entrance fee for the "early bird special" so they may enter in advance (8 - 10 a.m.) and preview the sale.
    Trash 2 Treasure is a volunteer-based, student-run, annual yard sale featuring items donated by students at the end of the year. The project began in 2007 as an effort to reduce waste by keeping students' items out of the dumpster at the end of each school year: students donate, volunteers organize and the community comes together to support our efforts in becoming more environmentally friendly.
   All proceeds go directly to charity organizations in Chester through the United Way of Southeast Delaware County, and in past years, $12,000 to $20,000 per sale has been raised.
