FREE "Poetry By The Pond" Event

Come one, come all, you are invited to Tyme Gallery’s annual Poetry by the Pond. This year is very special as Tyme Gallery pays tribute to the late poet, William Hetznecker M.D.

William Hetznecker M.D. was a retired child psychiatrist, and an individual who cared for children for over thirty years. He had a love of life, his family and poetry.

Hetznecker, who began writing poetry in 1950, was a former member of the American Physicians Poetry Association, a member of the Mad Poets Society, the Pennsylvania Poetry Society and the American Poetry Society.  He had published work in the American Physicians Poetry Newsletter, The Philadelphia Poetry & Literary Forum, Anthology, 2000, the Blue Satellite and others.  Bill stated his favorite venue to read was Tyme Gallery while he has also read at forums such as Juice & Java, Sidetracks Café, the Hunt Club and more.  Bill Hetznecker, family man, physician and poet had a true understanding of the human spirit.  We will miss his essence dearly and send out our deepest sympathy to the family and friends.

The evening starts with great food, and even better company. During the meal guests will be serenaded with local musicians Bob & Dave. Then everyone settles down to the main course, poetry (open mic) and yes it is read outside by the pond.

The event is hosted by Edna & Michael Davis and it is directed by poet, artist, Janet Sadler.  The hosts provide the main entree and beverages.  The guests are asked to bring a side dish and of course their poetry.  All interested parties are asked to make reservations. Directions to the event will be given when you register.  So don’t miss the fun on Saturday September 24^th from 5:00 PM until it is over.

Remember the event is FREE, but you must make a reservation.  You can call the gallery at 610-853-1215 or email madametyme@tymegallery.com.  So save the date for Saturday, September 24^th and pull out your poetry. The event is cancelled if it rains.   Tyme Gallery is located at
