Free Sports Trivia Program, 'Graveyards' Presentation

"Graveyard Revelations" at Ridley Township Library
   Dr. J. Joseph Edgette, Professor Emeritus at Widener University,  will present "Graveyard Revelations" 6:15 pm Wed. (Oct. 19) to find out what grave monuments tell about the people who now reside in the cities of the dead.
   Graveyards, churchyards, burial grounds, and cemeteries are designated as the permanent residences of citizens who have died. Many of their graves are marked by some sort of monument to their memories; however, much information is revealed from these markers not always obvious to the visitor. This richly illustrated presentation will explore, analyze and expand upon what these findings tell. This free program will be held in Garling Hall.

   Senior Community Services’ Center for Life Long Learning will offer Sports Trivia, with Town Talk’s Rich Pagano, at Friendship Circle Senior Center 1 pm Thurs. (Nov. 7).
    The Delaware County News Network columnist will  remember athletes in this area and touch on some very interesting aspects of sports.  He will also bring his book that will be available for purchase and signing.  The event is FREE. For further information, call (610) 237-6222.
