Watersheds Assn. Hosts Talk On Native Plants, Birds, Bees And More 
  Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association (CRC), Penn State Brandywine, and local municipalities will host Mark Gormel, Horticultural Coordinator for Brandywine Conservancy and a well-known lecturer and nature photographer, as he presents “Native Plants, Birds, Bees, Butterflies, and Healthy Watersheds - What’s the Connection?”
  His talk, set for 2 to 3:30p.m., Sunday (Feb. 12) will illustrate the critical relationships between specific native plants and the wildlife and habitat zones they support. He will also give strategies for creating environmentally sound gardens in which wildlife, birds and butterflies will thrive.
  The program location is the Tomezsko Building Auditorium at the Penn State Brandywine Campus, 25 Yearsley Mill Road, Media.

  Liberian Civil War Survivor To Speak At Media Presbyterian
  Rev. John Ndobor, Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Monrovia will speak on the civil war and enduring faith of Liberia, 7p.m.,  Wednesday (Feb. 15)  in Room 102 at Media Presbyterian Church.
  This will be a rare opportunity to hear about rev. Ndobor’s experiences living through the civil war in Liberia from 1989 to 2004 and the post-war reconstruction efforts. His workers were recently invited to a personal audience with Nobel Prize-winning Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, in appreciation for work done to train Liberian teachers and help in rebuilding their devastated educational system.
  The program is open and free to the public; no RSVP required.

Story Times And More At Media-Upper Prov. Library
  Media-Upper Providence Library has scheduled ongoing story times and other activities as follows:
  --Lego Club for ages 4 through 10 from 1 to 4p.m. on the third Sunday of each month. Each session has a theme. From that, a book is read aloud before the Legos are put out for play. Children are encouraged to try and build something to go along with the day's theme. Registration is required.
  --Petite Playgroup is 10a.m., Thursdays for infants to 24 months. Toddlers enjoy an hour of independent play during which children and caregivers socialize.
  --Preschool Storytime for ages 3 and 4 is set for 1p.m., Fridays and consists of theme-based stories, music and a craft.
  --Saturday Showtime is held the second Saturday of each month at 1:30p.m., for all ages. The library shows G- or PG-rated movies and snacks are provided. Call the library to see what is playing.
  --Infant Storytime is held 11a.m. for infants through 24 months 11a.m., Mondays, March 5 through 26. The event features books, music, finger play, rhymes and puppets. Registration is required and begins Feb. 21.
  --Toddler Storytime for ages 2 and 3 begins 11a.m., Tuesdays, March 6 through 27 and also includes stories music, puppets and more. Register by Feb. 21.

Free Dancing And Entertainment For Delco Residents

   Delaware County residents age 50 and older can enjoy a free evening with live bands performing favorite tunes to dance to, which include ballroom dancing, line dancing, swing and much more at the Redwood Community Playhouse 1 to 3p.m., Tuesdays and 6:30 to 9:30p.m., Thursdays.
