COUNTRY STAR PAYTON TAYLOR TO PERFORM FREE CONCERT AT CROSSWALK CAFÉ
   The Fourth of July festivities continue on Independence National Historical Park with a free live performance by Payton Taylor.
  Payton Taylor is a South Jersey native who began her country singing career in 2009. In just three years, Payton has gained tremendous success and has received national exposure with the release of her first CD, Shine, opening acts for country singers including Casey James, Chuck Wicks, Pam Tillis, Lorrie Morgan, Collin Raye, and the legendary Charlie Daniels Band, and a number of TV appearances, newspaper and magazine interviews.
  This summer, Payton has appeared at “CMA Fest” in Nashville, TN, and "Summerfest" in Milwaukee, WI and will be appearing at "Country on the Beach" in Key West, FL.

Children Can Attend Vacation Bible School In The Park
  The First Baptist Church in Collingdale is taking its free Vacation Bible School Program to the parks and neighborhoods of the borough. During the month of July the church will host a 'Children's Fun Night' two times a week at various locations.
  Each evening will begin at 6 pm, with registration and a Family Hot Dog Roast. The main program will run from 6:30  to 8 pm and will include puppets, drama, music, recreation and crafts. The program is open to children Pre-K through sixth grade. Parents are welcome to stay for part or all of the event.
  The schedule and locations for the program are:
  Tues., July 10 and Thurs., July 12, Pusey Avenue Park, Pusey and Roberta Aves..;
 Tues., July 17 and Thurs., July 19, The Point at Chester Pike & Pine Street;    
  Tues., July 24 and Thurs., July 26, Collingdale Park, Lincoln and Hibberd Aves.

Ready To Quit Smoking?
  Main Line Health will offer a FREE six-session smoking cessation program. Participants may be eligible to receive up to eight weeks of free nicotine replacement therapy such as gum, patch or lozenges.
  The program will be held at Riddle Hospital, 1068 W. Baltimore Pike, Media, 6-8 pm July 11, 18, 25, August 1, 8 and 15 and again in October and November. To register, call 484-227-3635.
  The classes will also be offered at Bryn Mawr Hospital, 130 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, 1-2 pm July 10, 17, 24, 31, Aug. 7 and 14 and at Main Line Health Center in Newtown Square, 3855 West Chester Pike, in September, as well as at other locations in the fall.

Family Movie Night In Media
  The Media Recreation Board will host a free Family Movie Night 8p.m., Saturday (July 14). “The Smurfs,” will be projected on a giant movie screen in Barrall Community Park, State and Edgmont Sts.
  The audience is encouraged to bring blankets or low back beach chairs to sit on.

Termini Bros. to host Birthday Party for America at the Visitor Center
 Join Termini Brothers for a celebration of America’s Birthday 1 pm July 4, hosted by the Independence Visitor Center Corporation and Termini Brothers Bakery.
  A spectacular five-tier cake will be decorated at the Visitor Center throughout the day prior to the celebration at 1 p.m. This will be the first time Termini Bros. will be off-site decorating one of their cakes in plain sight for passers-by to observe and get a sneak peak at the inner workings of what makes Termini Bros. a local icon and one of a kind. In addition to a custom designed cake, Termini Bros. will also give-away 2,500 FREE cupcakes!
  As if you were at Termini’s main location in South Philadelphia, they will bring the same exceptional customer service and signature Termini Bros. experience at the Visitor Center on July 4th in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic district. Marple Public Library has great Teen programs this summer.  Characters The Rock the Night is July 26 at 6:00pm.  Come dressed as your favorite character from a book. Enjoy making a book cover poster from one of your favorite reads.  Scavenger hunt with prizes.  Open Mic Poetry Night July 23 at 7:00pm.  Bring your poems or a favorite from a book as we turn on the mic.  Karaoke Night Party July 20 6:00pm.  Channel you inner rock star.  Tie Dye  Pillowcases on August 1 at 4:00pm.  Plain pillowcases are so overrated.  Supplies wiltl be provided.  Werewolf Night August 9 at 7:00pm.  Come howl at the moon as we explore werewolf stories and legends.  Ghostly Movie Night
August 16 at 7:00. Watch the haunting 80's movie The Lady in White ( rated PG-13).  Popcorn and drinks provided.
