FREE film series offered at Peace Center
The Peace Center of Delaware County continues its Friday FREE Film Series, 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5 with "A Day Without A Mexican." This edgy, satirical film, which takes on anti-immigrant attitudes and policies, is rated “R” for language and brief sexuality. Shown in Spanish with English subtitles, the film tells the story of a day in California that begins without a single Latino left in the state.
The film does not dwell on how the Mexicans disappeared or where they went, but rather what happens to California without them.
The First-Friday film series at the Peace Center of Delaware County is co-sponsored by the Brandywine Peace Community. Doors open for light refreshments at 6:30 p.m. The Peace Center is off the corner of Old Marple and S. Sproul Roads, Springfield , behind the Mr. Car Wash.
