FREE Events For Pet Lovers In February

February Events Celebrate A Special “Love Your Pets Month”

February is “Love Your Pets” month at the Lansdowne Public Library.  February 2011 is packed with fun, fabulous, and FREE events hosted by Animal Friends of Lansdowne.

This year's “Love Your Pets Month” will focus on special needs pets and what it means to adopt and care for one.  Animal Friends of Lansdowne has rescued many animals this year; more rescued animals often means more sick and special needs pets that need expensive, specialized treatment, even surgery. Animal Friends of Lansdowne will be soliciting donations through the Special Friends Fund to help defray some of the extraordinary costs associated with the medical care of these deserving animals.

February’s highlights include:

  • Meet local author Claudia Broome as she reads from her inspirational children’s book, The “Tail” of Rugby Jones: A Rascal’s Journey from Disability to Ability.
  • Get advice from a pet behaviorist about why your dog or cat does what he does – and how you can change unwanted behavior.
  • Have a free family movie night out with “Babe” and “Ratatouille.”
  • And much more!

The following is Animal Friends of Lansdowne’s schedule of events at the library.  Visit http://www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.com/ for more information and updates.  The Lansdowne Public Library is at 55 S. Lansdowne Avenue, Lansdowne, Pa., and can be reached at (610) 623-0239.
