Free Fun For Families At Linvilla Garden Center Opening

  The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Linvilla Orchards Garden Center Saturday, April 9, just in time for spring planting season. The family-friendly event will feature FREE entertaining activities for everyone -- live music, costumed characters, magic and more.
  A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will kick off the Grand Opening of the 15,000 square foot greenhouse and garden center Saturday,
  The Penncrest High School Marching Band will perform at 11:15a.m., followed by presentations and the ribbon cutting at 11:30, hosted by FOX-TV's Susan Serio.
  The Bennett Daniels Jazz Band will perform at 12:30 and John Cassidy’s Magic Show is slated for 2:30p.m.
  Linvilla's new green house is green in more ways than one. It features cutting edge, earth friendly technology and energy conserving systems including: geothermal heating and cooling, a polycarbonate roof, radiant floor heat powered by an innovative wood chip burner, automatic shade curtains and vents, and LED and fluorescent lights. This efficient facility is also equipped to recycle rainwater for watering greenhouse and nursery plants.
  The Garden Center is stocked with hundreds of varieties of annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs to make outdoor spaces lush and inviting. Linvilla is also loaded with flowering hanging baskets and planters, plus the seeds, planting soils, plant care products, gardening tools, gloves and watering supplies.
  In-house horticulturists will be on-hand with expert advice, and visitors may visit the wild bird department and discover the gift and toy shop, filled with beautiful, educational and fun items.
