Freebies to Mark Down!

Tyme Gallery is proud to present “The Secret Chi of Horses & Flowers”, with award artist Amira Dvorah. The FREE opening reception is Friday March 9th, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.

Amira Dvorah is an artist and musician whose work has been enjoyed by audiences all over the world. Though born in the West, her paintings show an Eastern influence, a mystical quality which is uniquely her own. Using images from nature and meditation, she creates a soft, luminous resonance of color and life-like forms. She is known for her dreamlike interpretations of a variety of subjects including tranquil lotus ponds, Persian gardens, birds, horses, and Renaissance style portraiture.

When asked about her painting style, Amira comments, "There is a deep place of peace and serenity within every human being, and I would like my work to invoke a remembrance of this inner place".

Amira is also an accomplished musician. She plays many different instruments including guitar, bansuri (Indian bamboo flute), tabla , santoor (hammered dulcimer), violin and tamboura. She has played at many venues accompanying Coleman Barks reading his versions of Rumi.   Amira’s music will be playing at the gallery for the opening at 7:00 pm.

Amira’s exhibitions and performances have taken her all over the U.S. and to many corners of the world including Toronto, Jerusalem, India and Japan. Her illustrated notebooks, published by Running Press, have sold over 500,000 copies.

She is often performs as an accompanist to many of India's finest classical musicians, and she has hosted a special series on Indian music for WXPN radio in Philadelphia. She also teaches classes and workshops at many schools, retreats and yoga centers including Omega Institute, Ananda Ashram and the Claymont Foundation.

"The Secret Chi of Horses & Flowers," a truly sensitive art experience not to be missed. The opening reception is Friday, March 9th, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.
