FREE Master Dance Class At Swarthmore College

   Internationally renowned Spanish choreographer/dancer Rosario Toledo will conduct a FREE master class at Swarthmore College, 1:15 to 2:45p.m., Tuesday (March 27) as part of the First Philadelphia Flamenco Festival taking place through April 1. Hosted by Pasión y Arte, Philadelphia’s all-female flamenco dance company, the festival also includes performances at Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 North American St., featuring Rosario Toledo’s new commissioned work for Pasión y Arte, “Cómplices,” and the U.S. premiere of the acclaimed “Del primer paso,” performed by Rosario Toledo and Company.   FREE Reading With Pets Program At Library
   The Ridley Park Library invites children grades one to four into the library this spring to read books to the Pals for Life pets.
   Pals for Life is a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for reluctant readers to practice reading to animals. The program will be held on Wed., April 4 and Wed., May 2, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the children's library. The event is free, but registration is required.   Media Hosts Easter Hunt And Lunch
    The annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place 10a.m., Saturday (April 7) at the tot lot at Third and Monroe Streets. Lunch with the Easter Bunny follows from 11a.m. to 1p.m. inside the adjacent community center with games and crafts. The hunt and lunch are courtesy of the Media Recreation Board.

  Free Live Entertainment For Seniors At Redwood Playhouse

  Area residents are welcome for free live performances at the Redwood Playhouse in April.
  Thursday, April 5, the Red Alert Band will perform Motown music; Tuesday, April 10, the Kevin Kelton band will perform big band and swing music from 1 to 3p.m.; Thursday, April 12, an Elvis Show and dancing is set; and Peter Thomas and Joe Staffieri will also perform in April. Thursday evening shows are 7 to 9:30p.m.
  The events are sponsored by the Delaware County Parks and Recreation Dept. and are free for residents 50 and older in Delaware County. The Redwood Playhouse is on Sixth Street in Upland Park.   Wrestling Great Andy Matter To Visit Mickey Vernon Sports Museum

   Andy Matter, a two time National Champion and one of the greatest wrestlers ever to wear a Penn State uniform, will appear at the Mickey Vernon Sports Museum 1- 2 pm Sun. (April 1) as a guest of the Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame. 
   At Penn State, Matter was 59-2 (21-0 as a Senior), winning three Eastern Championships and two NCAA titles in the 167-pound weight class.  Andy's high school coach at Upper Darby High School, Art McCall--himself a 2011 inductee of the Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame--will have the honor of introducing him.
    For anyone who would like to meet and speak with Matter, the museum is located at the corner of 1 Beaver Valley Road and Route 202 in Chadds Ford, PA.  It will be open from 11am to 2pm on the day of his appearance. The museum is available seven days a week for school programs, group tours, corporate meetings, events and private parties.

  Free Brandywine Sundays

 The Brandywine River Museum will offer free admission on Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon, through Nov. 18 (except Sunday, May 27, during the 41st Annual Antiques Show).
 Visitors can also enjoy "Breakfast on the Brandywine" in the Museum's cafeteria-style restaurant, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Sunday mornings. The revolving menu, which changes weekly, costs $6 per person and includes juice and coffee, tea or milk. A child's breakfast is also available for $3.75.
 Among the exhibitions on view this year is "Comic Catharsis: A Gift of Cartoons" by William Steig (through March 11).
