Free Area Halloween Parades!!!! Get In a Costume And Have Some Fun!

46th Annual Halloween Parade Features Local Bands

  The 46th Annual Delaware County Halloween Parade is set for 2p.m., Saturday (Oct. 30) in Media, thanks to the sponsorship by Bryn Mawr Trust and Crozer Keystone Health System. The parade is organized by Town Talk Newspapers.
  Media, with its lovely trees and crunchy leaves, will be the sparkling fall setting.
 Bands, including Penncrest, Strath Haven, Chichester High Schools; Springton Lake, Beverly Hills, Paxon Hollow Middle Schools, and the Chi Alumni Band are slated to participate along with mascots, floats, marching units, scouts, antique cars, clowns, cheerleaders and other imaginative groups.
  Area marching groups may sign up by Friday, Oct. 22, but the sooner the better.   Linvilla Orchards’ Annual Costume Parade is set for Sunday (Oct. 24).
  Visitors may come dressed as their favorite superhero, vampire or firefighter, or a doctor, witch, or princess and march along with family and friends.
  Attendees may sign up for a chance to win the family category or go solo and display their own awesome apparel. Everyone who enters will get a treat, but only one lucky winner will win a $100 gift certificate to Linvilla.
  Registration will take place noon to 2p.m., with the parade beginning at 3p.m. Makin' Music will perform a family concert at 4p.m. and the costume winners will be announced at 4:30p.m.
