On Monday, October 17, 2011, 1:00 PM, Senior Community Services’ Center for Life Long Learning will offer Reiki, with Instructor Janet Merrell, Reiki Master, at Friendship Circle Senior Center. This is a system of natural healing which evolved in Japan from the experience and dedication of Dr. Mikao Usui. Master Garden Program at Friendship Circle Senior Center


Are you an avid gardener?  Or do you just wish you were?
On Wednesdays, 1:00 PM, October 26 and December 7, 2011, Senior Community Services’ Center for Life Long Learning and Friendship Circle Senior Center are offering Master Garden Program with Instructor, Elsie Mueller, Master Gardener.  The Master Gardeners Program is passionate about helping people appreciate and understand the outdoors during the various experiences.  October 26th will focus on indoor plants and why they are important to have in your home or apartments, and December 7th will discuss the winter greens and dried arrangements (gourds to attractive holiday decorations). Senior Community Services’ Center for Life Long Learning is offering Osteoporosis “Dem Bones” on Mondays, October 24 and October 31, 2011, 1:00 PM, at Friendship Circle Senior Center. Instructor Dr. Barry Jacobson, Osteoporosis Center of Delaware County. A condition characterized by weak, brittle bones, osteoporosis affects more than 10 million individuals. Dr. Jacobson will talk about DEXA scan interpretation screenings and available treatments.           No fee. To register, call  (610) 237-6222.
