FREE Classical Music Concert And Reception!

   
Free All-Flute Concert On Nov. 16

   The Friends of the Marple Public Library in Broomall are hosting an All Flute Chamber Concert entitled AN EVENING OF OPERA featuring twelve Flutists from the the University of Pennsylvania's ever popular Penn Flutes, an all Flute Chamber Ensemble under the direction of Ms. Michele Kelly. Included in the program will be an all Flute performance of Opera's most beloved Aria's such as Mozart's, Marriage of Figaro; Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni; Bizet's Carmen; Scherzo from a Midsummer Night's Dream by Mendelssohn, and more. Michele Kelly is a professionally trained Flutist and faculty member in the Music Department at the University of Pennsylvania and is an on-campus House Teaching Fellow. Ms. Kelly is the founder and Music Director of Penn Flutes, an ensemble of twenty players that enjoys regular performances and educational outreach programs throughout the region. Ms. Kelly will both perform and provide program commentary during this concert. 
    A reception will immediately follow the performance and all are invited to meet Ms. Kelly and the superb musicians of Penn Flutes. Tuesday November 16 at 7:30 pm in the lower level community room. Marple Public Library, 2599 Sproul Road, Broomall, Pa 19008 . Last minute walk-ins are welcome, however reservations are recommended at 610-356-1510 .
